On the American Side are two separate waterfalls: American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. The American Falls is 180 feet high and 1,100 feet wide. Because Goat Island partially obstructs the flow of water to the American Falls, the volume of water which flows over the edge of the gorge here is not as great as the Canadian side.
We were able to see a rainbow appear over the American Falls.
