Rob's School Page
This is stuff related to my courses, both that I'm taking and that
I'm teaching. I've said since I first posted this page that I
expected the fact that there's not much here to change soon, and
that was a year ago, and there's never been that much. So don't
hold your breath.
Read Rob Mahurin's curriculum vitae.
Research
Various and sundry things here related to my research on the
fundamental properties of neutrons.
Spring 2003 Courses
Quantum Mechanics
This is the second half of the graduate
quantum course taught by Ted Barnes. I'm going to try to type
out my solutions to his
homework and put them in here, but it's
terribly time consuming and I don't know if I'll stick with it.
Even if I don't type them up I still use that directory to hold
plotting files, etc. for various problems.
Nuclear Physics
Taught by Witek. Nothing here yet.
Astrophysics and Cosmology
Taught by
Guidry. I haven't posted anything here yet.
Physics 221 -- Fall 2002
I'm not teaching this spring but I have left my information from
the fall up because I am a narcissicist. Last fall I taught one
recitation/lab section of Dr. Georghiou's Physics 221 course.
Here are:
- Syllabus and schedule
(now updated for spring, sorry)
- A sample lab report: The Force
Table
- A list of quizzes with solutions --- all my fall quizzes
were impromptu and solutions given in class.
Here is one quiz I scanned in from
the summer, though.
- A list of assigned questions and
problems with solutions. You might also be curious
about the corresponding page
from last summer.
- I never got my grade sheet to post. If you want to know
about a past lab grade you should
ask me. I also have a healthy collection of unclaimed lab
reports.
The items without links are not posted and probably never will be.
You might also check the physics labs page or the
Physics Department home
page.
