Part of the eye clinic in Las Charcas.
We are ready for our lunch break in Las Charcas.
This is our wonderful host family. In the back are Selma (mom),
Victor Manuel and Victor (dad) with Rob and Ellen. Kneeling in
front are Marco and Anna. Off to the right is a neighborhood boy
who visited almost every evening as the family relaxed on the front
porch or Selma cut hair in her beauty salon. The kids loved Rob
and flocked around him trying to teach him Spanish.
This is a view of the mountains and crop fields on the way to Estebania
and Las Charcas. They grow a lot of coffee, wonderful fruit,
vegetables and sugar cane.
This is the beach in Azua with mountains all around.
