Joseph:
The View from Four In the past year our picture-taking has slacked off considerably, partly because we’re so busy chasing Joseph around that we hardly have time to stop for a photo. But it’s obviously NOT because he is any less photogenic, or because we are any less smitten with him. When his first school picture came back I thought he looked like a movie star; I was stunned by how grown-up he suddenly looked. I realized that a year goes by quickly for us, but for him it’s a quarter of a lifetime, and so much happens, so many changes occur, so much growth and learning and love. Every day is a new adventure for him, and every day I feel so lucky to have him in our life. As you can see, Joseph is growing into a busy, charming, funny child without a drop of shyness. He can be serious, but he has a wonderful sense of fun; he’s an amazing swimmer and loves to watch and ride in (and occasionally drive) the boats on the Mississippi River. He seems to grasp the whole concept of Mardi Gras pretty well, too. He doesn’t have his own email yet, but you can write the proud parents at rliuzza@utk.edu and emfarina@bellsouth.net.
