I am proud to have been part of the Tennessee Darwin Day group for several years now. We are an organization dedicated to putting on annual events on and near Charles Darwin's birthday that inform the public about evolution and its importance as a unifying concept in biology.

For many years, I have helped organize and teach educational programs for children, mainly focusing on the biology and conservation of reptiles and apmhibians. I have taught and co-taught a Kids U course "Snakes Alive!" (ages 9-12) which is part of UTK's Outreach and Continuing Education programs.
