Shepardson receives two AAR Awards
Dr. Christine Shepardson has received two awards from the American Academy of Religion. She received a Regional Development Grant to help her host a Southeast Regional Workshop on "Religion and Culture in Late Antiquity" in April 2010. She also received an Individual Research Grant to fund her upcoming research trip to Turkey, which should allow her to complete her research for her current book on fourth-century Christianity. Shepardson's research proposal was chosen from "a record number of applications" and she and the other research grant recipients will be recognized at an awards ceremony at the national meeting of the American Academy of Religion in Montreal on November 8, 2009.
