Plant, Soil, and Environmental Sciences Club
January 16, 2002
The tentative schedule for this semester was looked over and briefly discussed. This schedule is listed on the Schedule of Events page.
The watershed restoration project we worked on last fall is ready to be worked on again. We will be contacting Jeffrey Cox to find out when we start planting seeds.
There are some events that SPEAK (Students Promoting Environmental Action in Knoxille) is sponsoring and we may be working more with them.
Ag Open House is coming up in mid-April. We need to start thinking about what we would like to do for this event.
River Rescue is event we participated in next year and we would like to contribute to this event again this year. River Rescue will be on April 13, but we can do it anytime.
We have been thinking about getting new T-shirts made, but the idea of getting mugs made has also been brought up. Since we have recently sold T-shirts we will most likely get mugs made that have the new department logo on them.
The "New Member Event" is going to be a Chili-Cook-Off. The purpose of this event is to get the Students, Faculty, and Staff of the new BEES department to get to know each other better. We are also hoping to get increased club participation from the event.
