FOOTBALL PARKING

Football season is an exciting time on the campus of The University of Tennessee.  To assist you in planning game day activities, parking information is summarized below.

On Campus Parking (link to on campus parking map):  All parking on campus is by football parking permit only.  Campus areas are reserved for Athletic and Alumni donors and  donor permits must be secured from these areas.  There is no general public parking on campus.

Accessible Parking:  Accessible parking with shuttle service is available on the Agriculture Campus.  Spaces are limited and are available on a first-come basis.  Shuttles begin running three hours before game time. To request accessible parking, contact the UT Parking and Transit Services Office at (865) 974-6031.

General Parking:  General parking is available at the Civic Coliseum Parking Garage.  Spaces are on a first-come, first-served basis.  Shuttle bus service will be provided by KAT at a cost of $6.00 per round trip. Additional public parking spaces and shuttles are available in the downtown area and at Farragut High School (click here for KAT Football Shuttles Schedule). Faculty and staff attending the game are encouraged to avoid the campus area and to use alternative parking and transportation options due tofootball permit-only parking on campus. RV Parking: RV parking on campus is reserved for University donors and a permit is required.  There is no general public RV parking on the campus; however, the Civic Coliseum in downtown Knoxville can accommodate a limited number of RVs as well as car parking.

 

FACULTY/STAFF SCHEDULED TO WORK ON FOOTBALL GAME DAYS:  The following parking areas will be designated for faculty and staff who are scheduled to work on football Saturdays:

12th and White-North of Jessie Harris Building	Staff 7 & C-24

These lots will be staffed and a regular staff-parking permit will be required.  The lots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  On occasion, some of these areas may not be available due to prearranged activities on campus. During the season, special announcements will be made through the media concerning specific game day arrangements and scheduled lot access.

Please note that the 11th Street Garage is reserved for donors on football Saturdays and is not available for staff parking.

UT VEHICLES:  Please remove all UT vehicles that are parked in areas designated for football donor parking. Vehicles remaining in donor parking areas on football Saturdays are subject to be towed.

BASKETBALL PARKING

The men's and women's basketball Vols continue to build upon their great success this upcoming season at Thompson Boling Arena.

On Campus Parking (Maps: Men's Women's):  On weekdays, the majority of parking on campus requires a basketball parking permit beginning at 4:00pm.* On weekends, the same is true but times will vary depending on the tip-off time for the game. 

Public Parking: Free public parking with shuttle service is available at the UT Agriculture Campus. Spaces are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Shuttles begin 2 hours before tip-off.

Accessible Parking: Accessible parking with fully accessible shuttles is available on the UT Agriculture Campus. Spaces are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. *STUDENTS ATTENDING CLASS DURING WEEKDAY BASKETBALL GAMES:  The following parking areas will be designated for students with a valid parking permit (C-Commuter, N-Non Commuter, T-Evening School, GS-Sorority, and GF-Fraternity) who are attending class on weekdays during basketball games:
