January 27, 2009 Meeting Minutes

• New room for the semester; room A117 in vet school.
• Shirts coming soon.

• Volunteering: observation of surgeries and volunteering is a go. Observe surgeries, get hands-on experience with animals through volunteering. Sign up with Allison.
• Website has calendar info., test bank (please add to it – it will really help make the bank usable), and pictures: we want to add pics to the website.
• We’ll have at least 2 trips this semester; one is the zoo (end of Feb./early March) and aquarium or maybe something new. Send suggestions!
• We’re trying to keep our club separate from Block and Bridle, but that makes our meetings short; we’ll try to do more outside of club things this semester.

• Current dean of vet school: Dean Thompson (possibly Jim)
• Mr. Hill was bitten by a horse.
• Academics committee and research: Dr. Leblanc (sorry for spelling) – she’s a good woman to know.
• The UT vet school began in 1974.
