Ian Down joined the Department of Political Science in Fall 2004. He has a Ph.D from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and a Master's degree from the University of New Orleans. His undergraduate education was undertaken in the United Kingdom, at the University of Sheffield. Ian's research primarily concerns political economy, with particular interests in the politics of economic policy, the political economy of the European Union, and the political economies of the advanced industrial countries more generally.
