Our fraternity's philanthropy,
PUSH America, is one of the leading philanthropies in
the nation. PUSH America goes to benefit physically
and mentally challenged people across the country.
With the money raised through Pi Kappa Phi, PUSH America
builds play units for handicap children. There
are currently play units in every state in the U.S.
Last year, our chapter's philanthropy efforts raised
over $5,000.00 towards PUSH winning the Silver Star
award from our national headquarters. The fundraisers'
that our chapter has are as follows: a Sorority Quarters
Race, two Road Blocks a year, and this year we also
did a charity golf tournament. We also attend
an annual Give-A-PUSH Weekend, where we donate a weekend
to build play units. We are the only fraternity
in the nation where its philanthropy is its own separate
entity with its own national headquarters. Two
other things our philanthropy does are called The Journey
of Hope and Gear Up Florida. These two events
help raise over $300,000.00 every year. The Journey
of Hope is a cross-country bike ride from San Francisco
to Washington D.C.
