Phi Mu's philanthropy events are the most important projects that we participate in during our years as chapter members. Phi Mu’s National Philanthropy is the Children’s Miracle Network. Locally, the Kappa chapter supports the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. We participate in many events throughout the year to raise money for the Children’s Hospital.

Kappa Chapter Events
Chili for the Children - Every year, we team up with O'Charley's to host one of
our favorite events where we sell chili to UT students, parents, and fans
before a home football game to raise money for the East Tennessee Children's
Hospital.
Rock-A-Thon - In the spring we participate in Rock-A-Thon in conjunction with Knoxville area Walmarts. Phi Mu’s collect donations outside the store’s main entrances. All donations are given to the Children’s Miracle Network.
Telethons - Phi Mu also participates in the annual Children’s Miracle Network Telethon. Organized by the hospital, these telethons are held in Knoxville. Phi Mu’s volunteer their time answering phones and taking donations for the hospital.
Hospital Tours - Phi Mu's visit the hospital and play with the children to
help keep their minds off of their treatments. This spring, we held a party in
the Oncology Ward where we brought Easter eggs and did crafts with the kids.
Special Spaces - Every spring the sisters of Phi Mu redo the room of an ill child at the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. The child picks out a theme for his or her room and Phi Mu spends the weekend creating the room exactly how the child dreamed it up. This spring we created a weather related room for a little boy.

These events include Sigma Chi Derby Days, Lambda Chi Watermelon Bust, AGR Mud Bowl, Pike’s Peak, ATO’s Viking Week, and Pong Volleyball Tournament. In most of these events Phi Mu enters a team to compete against other sororities.
