I earned my Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee in the summer of 2011. I wrote my dissertation on Rawls's ideal of public reason and liberal principle of legitimacy. I work mainly in political philosophy, public policy, and applied ethics.

Research Interests

Primarily interested in political philosophy with a focus on public reason, theories of justice, and property, with secondary interests in business and bio ethics, as well as applied ethics broadly construed.

Teaching Interests

Political philosophy, business ethics, bio ethics, critical thinking/informal logic. Ethical theory
