The activity will help the students meet the following

to locate information about job and post secondary education 6.1 Evaluate how interests, abilities and
achievement relate to attaining personal goals, social academic and career
goals. 6.2 Apply team building skills for task completion.
General Approach
Students will work in teams to search the
WWW about studying at colleges overseas. Students will research various
web sites and answer questions about how to start looking at colleges overseas.
Activity Steps
Introduce the topic of studying abroad to the
students.
Explain to them that students can not only study
abroad through a U.S. university but can also directly apply to foreign
universities.
Have students break up into pairs and answer the
questions on the work sheet.
Once the students are finished, they will share
their findings with the class.
Time Required
This activity will require one class period
about 45-50 minutes. This will give students sufficient time to explore
the WWW to find the answers to their questions.
Students should be able to use the world wide
web to find out information on going to college overseas. They should
be able to work in teams to find the answers to the questions provided.
Students should be able to begin thinking about the possibility of studying
abroad after high school.
