General Approach
The general approach is that children will read one issue of the comic book series, "Overboard", and complete a worksheet related to the comic book and the characters.  This will be followed by a counselor led discussion.

Activity Steps
  1. Go to the following web site*: http://www.thirteen.org/closetohome/overboard/menu.html
  2. The student will begin with the first issue of the series and each subsequent session will move on to the next issue.
  3. While the student is reading, he/she should be completing the attached worksheet.
  4. Upon completion of each issue, each student should click on the icon "Get help now" and review the information.
After the students have finished reading the comic book issue and have finished the worksheet, have them gather around for a counselor led discussion regarding their answers to the worksheet
