General Approach
The general approach is that students will learn the value of communication within relationships.

Activity Steps

  • Go to the following web site: http://www.eduplace.com/activity/index.html 
  • Follow the Lesson Plan for the Telephone Game.
  • Discuss how miscommunication affected the message that was stated. What exactly impaired the message?
  • Discuss how the influence of inflection can change the message of a statement.
  • Discuss the power dynamic dilemma and how power shifting in a relationship can affect the relationship.
  • Discuss ways to solve problems when they occur.

Time Required

This activity will take about 40-45 minute.
