This activity will help students acquire competencies which relate to the following standards: 4. Career awareness and employment readiness skills The student will: 4.2 Locate, evaluate, and utilize skills to interpret career information based on interests. |

The general approach will be for the students to log onto the listed web site and do a job match based on their likes and dislikes. They will then fill out a brief worksheet and play two of the activities on the home page. This will be followed by a counselor led discussion. |

After the students have completed the worksheet and the activities lead them through a discussion:

This activity should take about 30 minutes to complete. Followed by a 15-20 minute discussion. It can be broken into two sessions, first the online activities and the second can be the discussion. |

During the discussion the students will talk about a career they researched. They will be able to discuss how their interests and abilities fit into the career. The students will be able to demonstrate knowledge about the career they chose and discuss if the career was of interest to them. |
