General Approach |
The general approach for this activity is students will identify characteristices and examples of healthy friendships and share with the group, then act out some friendly acts. |
Activity Steps
|
1. Lead large group discussion on characteristics
of healthy friendships. (i.e. nice, like you no matter what, do not ask
you to do things that are wrong, do not make you feel yucky inside, etc.)
2. Split the group into smaller groups of 3-4 students each and give them 5-7 minutes to come up with "friendly acts." Go to each group and write the acts down on small slips of paper. (using older students as assistants would be helpful in this part of the activity). 3. Shuffle the "friendly acts" up and give each group an equal amount. Let each member act out a "friendly act" for their group for up to 1 minute while the other members try to guess the "freindly act." 4. At the end of the activity, lead a large group discussion on what they can do to be a good friend tomorrow. |
