General Approach |
The general approach is that students will look at the College Net web site. They will get online and look at several different colleges that might interest them within their future. Each student will answer the questions on the web site and try to find the best school to match their interests and abilities. |
Activity Steps |
After each student finishes his or her college search have students write down answers to the following questions and then answer these questions within a group setting:

Time Required |
This activity may require two 30 minute sessions. Students will need at least one entire session to make sure that they can get into the computer correctly and that they have time to finish their questions. A second 30 minute session is needed to discuss the job selections in the small group setting. |

Performance Indicators |
During this discussion the counselor will write down all the colleges that the students discuss. The counselor will then discuss the interests of the students and why the student selected the college that he or she selected. Each student will discuss there questions with the class and the students will tell which college that they think they would like best. |
