General
Approach

Students will connect to the Web site listed below and complete a worksheet as they review it.

Activity
Steps

Students will work in pairs for this activity.

Distribute worksheet to each student.  The worksheet directs students to go to http://www.adventuresineducation.org/middleschool/

Encourage students to discuss their responses as they complete the worksheet.

When everyone has completed the worksheet have students share responses in the large group.

Time
Required

Because part of the value of this activity is having students discuss their answers with their partner, leave plenty of time for this activity, around 30 minutes.  If you decide to have students share their responses with the large group, spend an additional 10-15 minutes.

Resources
Needed

Enough computers so each pair of students can work at one station.  (Students may work in threes if necessary.)

Performance
Indicators

Answers on worksheets will indicate that students have read and understand the information discussed at the Web site.
