This Activity will help students acquire competencies which relate to the following standards:

The student will:

General Approach

The general approach is that students will use the internet to research the websites of certain schools they might be interested in attending.  The students will use these websites to attain information regarding early cost of attendance.


Activity Steps

1.  Students will use the internet to visit schools in the southeast that they might be interested in attending.  They will use the webpages of these schools to attain information regarding yearly cost to attend.
2.  The students will then fill out a worksheet regarding their findings.
3.  Students will share what they found with the rest of the class.


Time required

This activity will take about 45- 50 minutes.

Resources Needed

1.  Access to the internet
2.  Worksheet to record their findings.
