October Family Weekend To-Do List

The Information below applies to 2008 October Family Weekend. For information on the November Family Weekend event, please click here.
1. Read all information provided on the Family Weekend website
as well as the information contained in weekly Parents Association Listserv
emails. It is extremely important that you read and understand all registration
information prior to registering for Family Weekend. Information is continually
updated and the most up-to-date information is posted online.
2. Register your family online by clicking on the Registration & Football
Ticket Information link. Registration will begin September 3rd. If you
have questions, please contact our office at (865) 976-4546 or parents@utk.edu.
For information on football tickets, please visit the Registration & Football
Ticket Information link. Don't forget to register for and attend the sessions
offered on Friday night.
3. If you plan to attend the UT vs. Northern Illinois football game, purchase
your ticket via one of the methods outlined on the Registration and Football
Ticket Information link. You may purchase tickets in the Family Weekend
section of Neyland Stadium by choosing to purchase tickets immediately
after you have registered for Family Weekend. If you have alternate means
of obtaining football tickets, you will still need to register for Family
Weekend in order to participate in the event.
4. Print off the following documents for your reference as you travel
to Knoxville for this year's Family Weekend event. After you complete
registration, you will be emailed a payment receipt. Please bring your
receipt with you to Family Weekend check-in from 3:00 - 7:00 PM on Friday,
October 3, 2008.

5. Prior to Family Weekend, read your emailed receipt and review the Family
Weekend website for event times, locations, and parking information.
6. If you have never attended a football game at Neyland Stadium, please
take time to review the Neyland Stadium policies and procedures. Click
here
for more information on Neyland Stadium, directions, and fan services,
as well as lists of prohibited and permissible items at Neyland Stadium.
7. Pick up your Family Weekend registration packet and football tickets
(if purchased) on Friday, October 3. Family Weekend check-in will
not begin before 3:00 PM due to other events taking place on
in the University Center. Please plan travel accordingly. Parking is available
to parents in the University Center Parking Garage at a reduced rate ($1
each 1/2 hour to a maximum of $5). Payment for parking will need to be
made as you exit the Parking Garage.
8. Enjoy a fun-filled weekend on campus with your student.
Please Note: Due to the nature of processing, planning, and event coordination, the Parents Association is unable to offer refunds to any Family Weekend registrant at any time.
The Parents Association Family Weekend will take place except in the most severe weather conditions. In the event of rain, all activities will take place as scheduled, possibly in alternate locations. However, in the event of severe weather such as lightening, the Parents Association, together with the University of Tennessee may elect to delay or cancel any part of Family Weekend at any time. Due to the nature of event planning and coordination, the Parents Association will not offer any refunds, in full or in part, to any participant due to weather.
