Fall Family Weekend Registration and Football Ticket Information
Fall Family Weekend registration will begin Wednesday, September 3
Registration for Fall Family Weekend 2008 will begin September 3, 2008
through an online, first-come first-served process. Information about
registration will be provided in weekly email communication with all Parents
Association members. You will receive an email from the Parents Association
Listserv with your Member ID as a reminder.
A Family Weekend registration package must be purchased for each person
attending the Big Orange Tailgate Party on Saturday prior to the football
game. See below for Family Weekend registration costs.
Please be advised that there will be NO REFUNDS issued for Family Weekend
event tickets or football tickets, so please determine your ability to
attend and the number of event tickets you are purchasing prior to registration.
Payments accepted for Family Weekend include a Visa or Mastercard debit/credit
card payment only.
In order to register, a link will be provided on Wednesday, September
3, to the online event registration system, which is structured the same
as the membership database through which you purchased memberships, renew
memberships, and update your contact information. If you have not logged
into our membership database system prior to Family Weekend registration,
it is a good idea to familiarize yourself with the membership database.
You will need your email address and your Parents Association member ID
(found on your membership receipt or on the mailing label of any Parents
Association publication) in order to log on to update your information
and/or complete Family Weekend registration. Further, your email address
and your Parents Association Member ID will be sent to you via email in
mid-August. Go to http://parents.utk.edu/
and click on "Update My Account" to familiarize yourself with the registration
system.
*You can login to the system to view your membership information and update
contact information at any time. We suggest doing so prior to September
to ensure you know how to accurately login and have the correct email
and password. Contact our office for questions about logging into the
membership database and/or the online event registration system. Don't
wait until September, when other families are registering for Family Weekend
to make sure you can accurately maneuver within the system!
Family Weekend Registration Costs
Family Weekend registration for adults is $35, and $20 for children
(under 12) and $20 for UT students. Family Weekend registration
includes access to most programming on Friday night (see Schedule page),
a Family Weekend t-shirt, and admission to the Big Orange Tailgate Party
on Saturday (beginning three hours prior to football game kick-off). These
costs do not include a ticket to the UT vs. Northern
Illinois football game. Tickets to the football game are available on
a first-come, first-served basis for $40 each. Family Weekend package
registration is required to purchase football tickets.
If you plan to attend the football game, tickets must
be purchased separately through one of the methods outlined below. If
you have already purchased football game tickets through another source,
you will not need to proceed to the Parents Association Group Football
Ticket Window. A link will be provided immediately after your successful
registration for Family Weekend. The Parents Association has been allocated
a specific number of tickets for this event, and tickets will be available
on a first-come, first-served basis. In the event that all allocated Family
Weekend football tickets are sold, we will post an announcement on this
website as well as the Family Weekend registration system. Please see
the football ticket information (for students and other participants)
below for full details about purchasing tickets.
If you do NOT plan to attend the football game, you will
not need to proceed to the Parents Association Group Football Ticket Window
after successful Family Weekend registration.
Family Weekend Event and Football Ticket Information
There is a two-step process to register for Family Weekend.
1. First, you will log on to the Parents Association Event Registration System and choose the Family Weekend events which you are interested in attending. Please see the Family Weekend Schedule page for further details and specific events. Once you have determined the events you would like to attend, you will select the events. At the completion of your event registration, you will submit payment for events. You will be emailed a receipt for your Family Weekend registration.
2. After successful registration for Family Weekend Events, you will
receive the link to the "Parents Association Football Group Ticket Window."
Then, you will select the number of football tickets (up to 6) you would
like to purchase to attend the October 4th football game. Family Weekend
package registration is required in order to purchase football tickets.
Tickets are available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis
for $40 each. The Parents Association receives a fixed number of tickets
for Family Weekend participants to purchase to the football game. You
will be prompted to complete a second payment to Athletics for football
tickets.
Important: Football game tickets are assigned seating,
and assigned at the time of payment. Participants will not be able to
purchase additional tickets, or return tickets after an initial order.
The Parents Association has no control over seating assignments, and thus
is unable to coordinate families' assigned seats. Be sure to plan accordingly
before purchasing tickets. Tickets are available for $40 each. No refunds
will be offered for football tickets.
You must complete the Family Weekend Event Registration prior to purchasing football tickets. All football tickets purchased through the Parents Association Football Group Ticket Window will be available for pick up with Family Weekend Event Tickets on Friday, October 3rd at Family Weekend Check-In in the University Center. Tickets purchased as part of Family Weekend registration (through the Parents Association Football Group Ticket Window) will be in a block with other Parents Association members.
All persons, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter Neyland Stadium. No pass out checks will be issued.
Student Football Ticket Information
If you have questions about student football tickets, please reference http://bigorangetix.utk.edu. Please note: Parents must purchase football tickets for UT students IF a student does NOT purchase a ticket through the student ticket allocation process which will take place in mid-August.
Please Note: Due to the nature of processing, planning, and event coordination, the Parents Association is unable to offer refunds to any Family Weekend registrant at any time.
The Parents Association Family Weekend will take place except in the most severe weather conditions. In the event of rain, all activities will take place as scheduled, possibly in alternate locations. However, in the event of severe weather such as lightening, the Parents Association, together with the University of Tennessee may elect to delay or cancel any part of Family Weekend at any time. Due to the nature of event planning and coordination, the Parents Association will not offer any refunds, in full or in part, to any participant due to weather.
