Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

The Office of Student Judicial Affairs works closely with students to provide them a better understanding of the rights and responsibilities that come with being a University of Tennessee student. At times students wish to share information with other parties. Based on the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99), we are unable to share any information with an outside party without that student's consent.

An Authorization to Release Information Form must be submitted by the student before information can be released to another party.
