Program Examples

Leadership Guides offers a variety of programs for your organization. These are the general outlines of the programs, but we will tailor each program to fit the specific needs of your group. Click on any title below to view a brief program description. The programs are arranged into two focuses: the first consists of resources for all members of an organization and the second is designed for further resources and training for leaders of organizations.

Presentations for Organizations

Heating Things Up Without Burning Out: Motivate your Members (Motivating Members)

This program analyzes the focus and objective of your organization. It is a back to the basics approach to understanding your organization to form the framework of where the organization is going. The program reinforces the main purposes of the organization as a way to reinvigorate the members to strive for excellence. Includes elements of teambuilding and group dynamics.

The Neyland Stadium Factor: Listening Through All the Noise (Listening / Communication Skills)

This program is designed to test the communication ability of a group. This presentation stresses the importance of communication to the success of the group and includes listening skills and analyzes group decision-making processes.

The Stress Rehearsal: Managing Stress in College (Stress Mgmt.)

This program can impact us all. So many times students suffer from burnout due to busy schedules and class requirements. This program provides a general survival guide for college life applicable to any student and ways to manage stress regardless of the load. Includes time management tips.

Lost in the Wild: The Importance of Vision and Goal Setting (Vision/Goal-Setting)

This program seeks to examine your own leadership styles and abilities. A strong emphasis on goal-setting and leadership vision is presented. Included are general tips on taking the next step with your leadership potential and taking advantage of opportunities within your organization and on campus.

Rule #1, Break All the Rules: Taking Risks in Your Organization (Risk Taking)

Taking risks is essential to making important changes in an organization. This program is designed to teach your group to think outside the box to discover new ideas to benefit your organization.

I Before E, Another Night Studying Past 3: Practical Study Skills for Students (Study Skills)

This program provides students with helpful study tips to promote academic success. To be successful in an organization, a student must first have their studies in order, and this session empowers members of your organization through skills necessary to achieve great results academically.

Walking on Thin Ice: Icebreakers for Teambuilding

This program consists of fun icebreakers to engage your organization and get the juices flowing. Forget walking on thin ice, go ahead and break the ice to provide team unity and cooperation. Leadership Guides offer a wide array of games and activities to suit the needs and size of your group.

Before an organization buys in to an idea, they must first buy in to the leader. This program is designed for leaders wanting to increase their credibility through integrity. Become the leader that others want to follow. Includes motivating your members for leaders.

Fighting Disorder with Robert’s Rules of Order (Effective Meetings)

This program provides an overview of Parliamentary Procedure and Robert’s Rules of Order. This is designed to give you an effective means of running your organization’s meetings. Also discussed are ways to deal with distractions and difficult people within the meeting.

Officer transition can be a time of fear or excitement. This program is designed to make the change from one set of officers to another as smooth as possible. The program emphasizes a team approach for transition.
