What is the most important piece of advice you would give new students?

  • Take advantage of every opportunity you are given. You are never guaranteed a second chance, so be open to trying new things.

What is your most memorable UT experience so far?

  • The UT-Florida basketball game has been my most memorable UT experience. I got to see a friend of mine from high school, who loves the Florida Gators, and watch the Vols beat his Gators! I also got to spend the whole day bonding with the student leaders who work for the Office of Student Orientation & Leadership Development. Lesson learned: Don’t forget your UT ID before going into games!

What is your favorite extracurricular experience?

  • My favorite activity would have to be Freshman Council, which is a branch of the Student Government Association (SGA). This was the first opportunity I had to get involved with the university and I have met some great friends who care about this university. I would encourage freshmen to get involved with SGA either through the Freshman Council or the Student Services branch.
