Ignite Teams

The Ignite Teams program provides first-year students with an extended opportunity to continue to learn about UT and areas for involvement. Teams meet once a week and are led by upper-class student leaders, known as Ignite Team Leaders. Ignite Team Leaders help new students navigate their first semester and serve as a mentor throughout their first year of college. The Ignite Teams only meet for the first 9 weeks of the school year and discuss topics ranging from campus involvement to balancing time commitments. The Ignite Teams program has become an invaluable asset to students in their first semester at UT, but the relationships formed between the teams last for years to come.

Ignite Teams is open to the first 250 students that submit an application online and pay the $20 registration fee. The registration fee will cover the Ignite Teams kick-off celebration on August 19th, 2009 at 6 pm, a service project and a graduation celebration. The fee can be paid online or at the Ignite Teams kick-off in August. Ignite Teams participants will also receive a t-shirt at the end of the program. Please note that this $20 fee is non-refundable.
