Freshmen entering The University of Tennessee in Fall 2010 will be able to use the online Student Orientation registration system beginning at 9:00 a.m. EST on January 15, 2010, but only after the student has paid their $250 Enrollment Deposit to the Office of Admissions. Why can't I register for Freshman Orientation?
There could be several reasons:
- You have not paid the $250 Enrollment Deposit, it has not been 24 hours since you have paid online, or the Office of Admissions has not received your payment by mail. You will not be able to register for a Student Orientation session until your Enrollment Deposit has been paid. If you have questions about your Enrollment Deposit, please contact the Office of Admissions at (865) 974-2184.
- The session has filled. The Student Orientation system will only show you the sessions where there is space available. We fill sessions on a first-response basis.
- Your college is not advising during that session. The Student Orientation system will only show you the sessions where your college is advising and where is space available. Choose a session when your college is advising. If in doubt, check our list of colleges and majors.
- You are listed in the wrong college because you changed your mind about your major. Call the Office of Admissions at (865) 974-2184 to inquire about changing your major. [top]
How do I change my Freshman Orientation session or add a parent?
If your plans change after you have registered for an Orientation session, please log in to the Orientation registration system to change to another session or add a parent or guest. Please note that you will be charged a $25 processing fee for any changes made to your registration. [top]
Can my friend and I register for the same Student Orientation
session?
Since we fill sessions on a first-response basis, students should try to register online one after the other. We cannot hold spaces open for students who want to attend together. Please remember that students must attend Student Orientation sessions in which their college is advising. [top]
Can you take my credit card information and register for me?
Unfortunately we are unable to take credit card requests over the phone. [top]
What if I need to cancel and get a refund?
Refunds will be made ONLY if Student Orientation & Leadership Development is notified IN WRITING at least 10 working days prior to the confirmed program date. Please note that a $25 processing fee will be subtracted from your total refund. [top]
