Tripp Purks, Graduate Assistant

Tripp is a first year graduate student in the College Student Personnel program and is currently responsible for advising the Leadership Guides, and co-teaching the Emerging Leader class during the spring semester. Tripp was born in Heidelberg, Germany and raised in Williamsburg, VA. He graduated from James Madison University in 2007 with a B.A. in English, and a passion for student affairs.

Before making a new home at UT, Tripp lived in Charlottesville, VA for two years working at The Federal Executive Institute and helping a few friends open and operate a local espresso bar.

After graduating, Tripp hopes to pursue a career in higher education and work with student development and leadership programs.
