Academic Services
The Academic Support Unit helps students to matriculate through the University. As the academic support arm of Minority Student Affairs, this unit offers several important programs:
- The Book Loan Program allows students to borrow books free of charge. Students must return the borrowed books at the end of the semester.
- The Tutorial Program provides free tutoring to students in a variety of subject areas including: math, biology, chemistry, and language arts.
- The 48-Hour Study Session is scheduled each semester during the study days period. The Center is open for extended hours, providing students with an atmosphere conducive to studying, as well as drinks and snacks to help them stay refreshed and alert while preparing for final exams.
