This program was originally organized as a social for the mentors and mentees. However, in recent years, it has been redesigned
as a ceremony where students take a vow to stay committed to their academic goals and promise to become student leaders in the UT community.
This year we had Mr. Ronald Harris, Chief Diversity Officer for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee as the keynote speaker.

MAP students dress up in costumes and pass out candy to the kids of Knoxville. There will be games and other activities for the kids to
enjoy as well.
November:

Nov. 4 MAP Presents: The Mr. and Miss Freshman Pageant -

This year is the first Mr. and Miss Freshman Scholarship Pageant. It is a program that will help promote healthy self-awareness and provide
a book scholarship for the winners.
