Book Loan Procedure

Follow the procedure below to apply for a book loan

The Book Loan Program was created to help students subsidize the costs of purchasing books. The program allows students to borrow books during the semester free of charge and return the book(s) at the end of the semester. This program operates throughout the academic year.

Book Loan Application Form

  1. Click here on HODGES LIBRARY WEBSITE.

  2. Click the Course Reserves link on the right.

  3. Type in BLP in "WORD OF PHRASE" column and click "GO" to access the Book Loan Program.

  4. Select the books by subject area (e.g. English, Math, etc.) and click on "CHECK AVAILABILITY". (Please scroll down the page and click on next page to preview all alphabetical offerings in BLP)

  5. When you click on "CHECK AVAILABILITY", please note if the due date column is vacant the book has not been checked out. If there is a due date in that column, the book is not available.

If your book(s) are available, click on "FORMS", complete the PDF printable application and turn it in to Minority Student Affairs or stop by and pick up a Book Loan application at our front desk. Please note there is a two book maximum and books must be returned by the end-of-semester due dates to avoid holds on student accounts.
