Philanthropy

The Omicron chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi
values the service and volunteerism of all of its members!

Alpha Omicron Pi’s International Philanthropy supports Arthritis, Juvenile Arthritis and related diseases. Since 1967 when we adopted the Arthritis Foundation and Canadian Arthritis Society as our international philanthropy, over one million dollars has been raised by AOI’s to help researchers find a cure for this crippling disease that so often targets women as its victims.   Omicron also hosts philanthropic events every semester to benefit our national philanthropy, arthritis. We have donated over 3,200 hours of community service over the past two years!

Our biggest philanthropic event is held each year in UT’s very own circle park. The AOPII Barbeque is a favorite fall event for hundreds of family members and friends of AOPII’s. As we look forward to entering our 49th annual BBQ, we are excited to say it is scheduled for October 10th, right before the UT vs. Georgia game!
