There are many ways to get involved in NORMLUTK.
We have tried to provide different options for the varying levels of support and time contributions that individuals are willing and able to give.
Whether you can attend weekly meetings, sponsor an event, or are only able to give us your email address, your help is greatly desired and appreciated.
So join us in the fight against marijuana prohibition.
Time to Act
The easiest and most direct way to get involved is to participate in a Time to Act. These will be announced over the email list by makinglovetomaryjane@yahoo.com. Please come share your ideas for NORMLUTK with the group or volunteer your time in some of our current efforts. Time to Act generally require sponsorship. If you are unable to make participate in a Time to Act but would still like to contribute your two cents to the group then join our email list. All our members are part of this list and there are always people who will listen to what you have to say.
Volunteer Your Expertise
Are you a business owner or professional? NORMLUTK can greatly benefit from people willing to support the group through their profession or expertise. For example, in the past our group has sold t-shirts in order to raise funds. Someone who could donate the time and equipment to print those shirts would be a great asset. If you think you can help out NORML in a similar fashion then please join our email list or contact us directly.
Financial Support
We realize not everyone that supports the cause has the time to volunteer. For those people we offer three options. Becoming a Dues Paying Member (suggested $20) entitles you to a wallet sized membership card plus souvenirs subject to change. Sponsorship of a Time to Act can be made at certain times throughout the year. Donation drives for National NORML and MPP is the third option. These drives provide a unified voice for Tennesseans to the national organizations. Click here to Make a Donation
Potential Medical Marijuana Patients
Tennessee will be considering a medical marijuana bill next year. However, currently there are no faces for the issue. We are looking for people living in Tennessee whose suffering could be lessened by medical marijuana. The best leaders of this issue will possess some of the follow qualities: good written and oral communications, willingness to potentially be on camera, public service, a group of supporters/friends, and an earnest desire to get the law passed.
