Reading for Spring 2001
We will be starting with E. L. McCallum's Object Lessons: How To Do Things With Fetishism.  In addition to having a title that will make your non-academic friends uncomfortable, McCallum's study revisits key Freudian concepts that continue to inform feminist theory and gender studies.  We will pair essays from Freud with each section or chapter to better understand and critique her argument.  Bi-weekly readings will be available in the feminist theory box for copying.
New participants are welcome throughout the semester.
