About The Lunch Map

• This map is not affiliated in any way with the University of Tennessee, the City of Knoxville, the Cumberland Avenue Merchant's Association, or any of the establishments on it. I created it out of curiosity and maintain it for fun.
• I apologize for any omissions or other inaccuracies. I remove defunct places, add new arrivals, and make other corrections as time and inclination allow.
• I have defined 'lunch places' as those serving what is commonly thought of as lunch food to the general public around noon. Excluded are: dorm cafeterias, vending machines, street venders,places opening later in the day, places that serve just icecream or pastry, etc.
• I have no desire to expand the map beyond its current geographic area. Several nearby places fit the 'lunch place' definition but including them would more than quadruple the size of the map. My apologies to Mable's (Ag Campus), the Arena dining room, Gryphon's (20th & Highland), and the others in between.
• Thanks to all who have suggested ways for me to spend even more of my spare time on this project. Yes, I could cross reference places by who delivers, who takes plastic, who serves what beer, etc. I could even make it so the names are links to the complete menus. Maybe someday.
