Installation Instructions for UT Wireless Printers on Mac OS X 10.2 / 10.3

Note: There will be some minor visual differences between OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) and OS X 10.3 (Panther). These instructions were created on a Mac running OS X 10.3
1. Launch the Printer Setup Utility (Print Center in OS X 10.2). You can find this by opening the Applications folder, then the Utilities folder. When you run it you will see something like this:

2. Now hold down the Option button on your keyboard and click on the Add button. Select Advanced from the drop-down menu. If you do not see Advanced you did not hold the option key down when you clicked the Add button.
3. Select LPD/LPR Host or Printer from the "Device" drop-down menu. You should now see this:

4. Select HP from the "Printer Model" drop-down menu.
5. Scroll down and select HP LaserJet 4100 Series (do not select MFP if you have it listed).You should now see this:

6. Depending on which printer you wish to configure, you need to fill in the Device Name and Device URI boxes as shown in the following images.
a. For the wireless printer located in Ayres 13:

d. For the wireless printer located in Perkins 209:

e. For the wireless printer located in Presidential 113A:

7. Double-check to make sure you have named the Device Name and especially the Device URI exactly as shown in the images above, then click Add button.
8. If you wish to setup more than one wireless printer, repeat steps 2-7 as necessary.
