Luis Cano

Dr. Cano's teaching has been recognized with the 2003-2004 Junior Faculty Teaching Award from the College of Arts and Sciences, and the 2004-2005 Chancellor's Outstanding Teacher Award. He has published articles in science fiction, the fantastic, and detective fiction in Spanish American narratives. His book Intermitente recurrencia: la ciencia ficción y el canon literario en Hispanoamérica was published by Ediciones Corregidor, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr. Cano is currently working on a manuscript on the representation of violence in the fiction produced in Colombia in the past 30 years.
