The following graduate students from Germany are spending the academic year 2007/08 at UT:
These graduate exchange programs strongly support UT’s mission of fostering internationalization and intercultural learning as outlined in the Ready for the World campaign.
Chris Holmlund will introduce the films. All will be shown in Hodges Library Auditorium beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Dr. Ayala is an eminent historian who specializes in the Andean Region; a graduate of Oxford, he has been a senator, a vice-presidential candidate, educator, leading figure in Ecuador's Socialist Party, and currently writes a weekly column in Quito's newspaper, El Comercio.
Dr. Ayala's visit is part of the linkage that UT has with the Universidad Andina. Along with Latin American Studies, the lecture and visit are co-sponsored by History, Global Studies, and the Chancellor's Office.
