Dr. Koch to deliver an invited paper at "Spaces of Self in Early Modern Culture" conference.
Erec R. Koch, Professor of French and Head, Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures, will deliver an invited paper titled “Nicole’s Tourbillons: Materiality, Motion, and the Passions,” February 23, 2008, at a conference titled “Spaces of Self in Early Modern Culture.” This year-long conference is being held at the UCLA Center for 17th- and 18th-Century Studies and gathers faculty from throughout the world to explore the mutual imbrication of subjectivity and space in early modern culture.
