Introduction
The University of Tennessee hosted a Ronald McNair Program for 19 years, beginning in 1990, and ending in 2008. Each year the program recruited approximately 35 students who participated in a nine-week summer intensive program of preparation for the Graduate School experience. In an attempt to determine just how successful we were in producing individuals who achieved one or more of the five objectives we established. I am asking that you respond to the following study.
