R. PAUL BARTOLINI

1920-


Throughout his library career, Paul worked hard with government agencies in order to increase their awareness of the need for more funding for libraries. He served on four state legislative committees and was president of three state library associations. He also worked towards educating government officials about the importance of the need for a good library staff and an increase in the staffs' wages and standard of living through legislative funding.


WORK EXPERIENCE:

Director, Knox County Public Library, (TN), 1979-1985, guided the 1874 "Custom House" building restoration project into becoming the East Tennessee Historical Center
