HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

Rooms are available at the Cumberland House at a special rate of $99/night if you make a reservation before February 6. In order to receive this rate you must mention that you are attending the Marco Symposium. The hotel is located close to campus; free transportation is also available between the hotel and the Symposium site. To make your reservation, please contact:

PARKING
Covered parking is available at the Cumberland House Hotel; a free shuttle service (the “Trolley”) is available from the hotel to the university and to downtown Knoxville. For those who wish to drive to campus, daily parking permits can be purchased for $5.00 which will allow access to a suitable nearby lot. Permits must be picked up from one of the Parking Services offices (24 University Center or 2121 Stephenson Drive; the Stephenson Dr. office opens at 7:30 am on Friday, the UC office at 8:30). Visitors who expect to need on-campus parking are advised to contact Parking Services in advance at (865) 974-6031. Information on parking is also available online at web.utk.edu/~pso/.
DIRECTIONS
To the Cumberland House Hotel
Traveling East on I-40: Take 40 East into Downtown Knoxville Area; take Exit 388. Exit to the right, through tunnel and onto Henley St. Turn right on Cumberland Ave., right on 11th St., then proceed one block and turn left on White Ave.
Traveling West on I-40: Take 40 West into Downtown Knoxville Area; take Exit 388 A. Merge onto TN-158 W towards Downtown / James White Pkwy. Take the Cumberland Ave. exit toward Downtown; turn right onto Cumberland Ave., right on 11th St., and proceed one block and turn left on White Ave.
From McGhee-Tyson Airport: Take 129 North towards Knoxville. Take the Kingston Pike Exit; turn right at the light onto Kingston Pike (Kingston Pike becomes Cumberland Ave.) Proceed on Cumberland Ave. towards Downtown Knoxville. Turn left onto 11th St., then proceed one block and turn left on White Ave.
To The Marco Institute:
Marco is located on the second floor of Temple Court, approximately six blocks from the Cumberland House Hotel. A free shuttle is available between the hotel and Temple Court.
