Manthan-ISO is an organization of, by and for the Indian students at UT. It's basic aim is to help the students of Indian origin, at UTK, celebrate the various Indian festivals amidst a sense of unity and harmony.. It aims at promoting the rich Indian culture in the US. In addition, it would provide a broader scope for cultural understanding and the exchange of ideas between the people of India and those of the US.

As is it's meaning, Manthan strives to extract the 'AMRIT' of cultural exchange between these two countries from the sea of happiness and despair.

Apart from being one of the four major cities in Tennessee, Knoxville is a city noted for its scenic beauties with the majestic Smoky Mountains nearby. Manthan utilizes every opportunity to allow our Indian students enjoy these beauties by arranging picnics. We also arrange for the celebration of various Indian festivals including Diwali, Holi etc. We make our presence felt in the International House of UT by our active participation at the International Festival. Also, our regular Indian cookouts help us in showcasing our culinary skills. These events provide an excellent opportunity for the Indians to socialize with each other.

Manthan WELCOMES the new applicants to UTK, with an eagerness to assist them in all possible ways.
