Episode Summary :
Part 1
"This maximum security Prison houses only the most diabolical criminals in our society such as the man.... "
The sorcerer, master of illusion and mayhem, uses his powers to escape the federal penitentiary to exact his revenge on the two who put him behind bars.... our heroines, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl.
Meanwhile across town Lori and Judy are on assignment for Newsmaker magazine, hoping to get an interview with Colorado Johnson, according to Judy "Mister Country Rock". However, the duo are interrupted by Frank and the news of the Sorcerer's escape. Much to Judy's chagrin, the pair must leave for Electrabase before they can complete the interview.
Lori and Judy arrive back at Electrabase and transform into Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. The Sorcerers breaks in on Crimescope's secret frequency and announces his plan to steal all the gold in Fort Knox., much to the disbelief of Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. Back at the Sorcerer's lair, Miss Dazzle, the Sorcerer's able body, but dim witted assistant, shares in out heroines disbelief. The Sorcerer unveils the secret to his plan, a box which is the "mirror tricks of all mirror tricks." However, before he can proceed, he needs to eliminate Electra Woman and Dyna Girl.
Back at Electrabase, Frank and the girls are alerted to the Sorcerer's location at the County Museum where he is stealing the a priceless piece of art. The Sorcerer uses a rope trick to escape from the duo. The girls follow the Sorcerer to his hideout, all too easy, which leads them to believe they are walking into a trap. Which is precisely what happens when they enter the hideout and go to retrieve the stolen artwork, they are mesmerized by the Sorcerer's mirror trick and transported to a stage far below the earth's surface. So far below, that they are out of the range of Crimescope and powerless.
Our heroines are to star in the Sorcerer's performance of "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl vs. the Man-eating Tiger." They are trapped in a cage where a faucet pours water into a bucket, which turn open the door of the cage of the tiger into where Electra Woman and Dyna Girl are. The Sorcerer offers the consolation that the key to the cage is on a music stand just out of reach. Without their powers, the girls are trapped!
Part 2
With no powers, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl must rely on Lori and Judy power to get them out of this situation. Electra Woman realizes that the cage they are in has no top, therefore she is able to boost Dyna Girl over the top of the cage where she can retrieve the key before the tiger is let loose in the cage. The pair then return to Electrabase to retrieve the now completed Electra-Beam.
Meanwhile, the Sorcerer has made it to Fort Knox and uses his mirror trick to immobilize the guard and enter the vault where the gold is kept. And after a brief stop at Crimescope to get the Electra-comps fitted with the new "Electra-beam" the duo head out to Fort Knox.
"Electra-plane speeds our heroines toward the storehouse for America's Gold...Fort Knox."
The girls enter the main vault and are met by the Sorcerer and are met by an illusion of a fierce storm. While they are occupied, the Sorcerer uses his large mirror to steal all the gold from Fort Knox. Our heroines electra -degraviate down to the vault floor and out of the range of the illusion. They give chase after the Sorcerer. When they catch up to him, he tries to use another mirror trick but our heroines use their new Electra-beam to turn the tables and repel the sphere, thus entrancing the Sorcerer and Miss Dazzle.
The girls return to the vault floor and deduce that the Sorcerer hasn't stolen all the gold out of Fort Knox, but simply used his mirror trick to make it seems like all the gold disappeared out of the vault. The girls cover the trick back up and the gold returns and they use their Electra beams to return the Sorcerer and Miss Dazzle back to prison.
DynaGirl's Thoughts:
Most Shows first episodes are really awkward.. but I think this one went off just great! It really established everyones personas right out of the gate! I will be the first to agree that the Sorcerer isn't the strongest written villain in the pack but Mr. Constantine really soared with what he had. The chemisty between him and Mrs. Lainier (Ms. Dazzle) made for some of the most memorable moments of this show! Electra Woman and DynaGirl themselves were just adjusting to the roles and you can see that a little but it also set the pace for what was to be. ElectraWoman (to me) has always been cool, aloof, and somewhat like the perfect mentor. DynaGirl on the other hand was Perky, Chipper and full of bounce (Ms. Strangis specialty in acting) A total Must see if only for the hypnotic disco ball.
