Episode Summary :

Part 1

"The famed museum of the seven seas awaits peacefully in its slip for the gala public debut. The museum's star attraction is an exhibit of priceless Egyptian artifacts recently exhumed from the tomb of King Rameses II."

Stashed away in the exhibit is the Pharaoh, who after disabling a guard with a strange green mist, summons the Princess Cleopatra and they both steal a small pyramid from the exhibit and make a hasty retreat. Shortly thereafter, Lori and Judy arrive on the scene, covering the exhibit for Newsmakers magazine when they spot the guard. The guard comes to and immediately realizes that the pyramid, the priceless pyramid of King Rameses II, is gone. He goes to report it, and Lori goes to report it to Frank at Crimescope. Using Crimescope, Frank deduces that only one person would be responsible... the Pharaoh. Lori and Judy race back to Crimescope.

Back at his hideout, the Pharaoh opens up the pyramid to get what he was after... a crystal that will give him unlimited power. While he does get the crystal, he discovers that the pyramid does not contain any instructions on how to use the crystal. Cleopatra suggests that they will have to return to the museum to find the instructions. The Pharaoh knows that by now Electra Woman and Dyna Girl are onto him and they will have to be dealt with. The Pharaoh knows that the stone in his headpiece will take care of them.

Meanwhile at Electra-Base, while waiting on information about the location of the Pharaoh, Frank shows the girls his new invention... the Electra-Strobe, which causes the user to speed up 10,000 times their normal speed. Crimescope picks up on a sighting of the Pharaoh at a movie theatre and the heroines are on their way.

The heroines arrive to find Cleopatra tied up at the front of the theatre. They cautiously make their way to the front stage when Cleopatra runs off the stage. It was a trap, but before they can react, they are hit with the same green spray from earlier. ElectraWoman and DynaGirl are immobilized. The Pharaoh and Cleopatra gloat over the frozen heroines and we find out that the spray is mummifying spray. Even though the effect doesn't last long, the Pharaoh believes it will be long enough, as he has outfitted the projector in the theatre with his sacred red ruby. The projector will shoot laser beams at the frozen superheroines. As the laser beams begin, the girls come to, but they are still unable to move and their Electra-Comps aren't working.

"The Pharaoh has really done it indeed. Is this the end for ElectraWoman and DynaGirl?

"Immobilized by the villainous Pharaoh, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl search frantically for a means of escape."

Electra Woman realizes that even if their Electra-Comps aren't working, they can still use the reflective surface of them to deflect the laser beams back to the projector and disable it. After a couple of tries there are successful. Before leaving, they discover the pyramid the Pharaoh had stolen earlier left behind and find that it is empty. They decide to take it back to Electrabase so that Frank can decipher the hieroglyphics on the pyramid.

Upon returning, Frank tells them that that the green spray, in effect, turned them temporarily into mummies. Also that the hieroglyphics revealed that whatever the Pharaoh took from the pyramid is not complete and must be used with another item at the museum in order to work. The heroines race back to the exhibit to confront the Pharaoh.

When they arrive, the Pharaoh has already released an energy monster from the crystal called Solaris. He orders Solaris to attack, easily rendering both heroines unconscious.

"Once more, the Pharaoh seems to have outwitted our heroines. How will they possibly overcome their hopeless fate?"

Part 2

"Our heroines show signs of life since their vicious attack."

Weakly, the girls come to and head back to Electra-Base where Frank, who has developed the pictures that Judy took of the exhibit earlier, has found out that Pharaoh is in control of what can only be described as an energy beast. Even more ominous is that ElectraWoman and DynaGirl only experienced a small portion of the beast's power. While trying to figure out the Pharaoh's plans, he interrupts all transmission to tell the town that he is holding the city's power supply ransom for ten million dollars. With that, he shuts off all the power, including that of Crimescope.

"And so the powerless ElectraWoman and DynaGirl speed to the Pharaoh's hideout to confront the energy creature."

"As Hefflin works to restore power, the Pharaoh's plan seems to have succeeded."

After a meeting with the city's banker, and displaying the power of Solaris, the city agrees and pays Pharaoh. Using a lead shield, Frank is able to regain power at Electra-base as the heroines show up at the Pharaoh's barge. The girls use their force shields on themselves to protect them from the power of Solaris, though Crimescope barely has enough power. DynaGirl gets the crystal from the Pharaoh to help boost their power. ElectraWoman uses the Electra-Strobe to magnify the energy output and destroy Solaris. With Solaris gone, the heroines easily capture the Pharaoh and Cleopatra.

DynaGirl's Thoughts:

This villain just oozes evil. He is not a "far-out" cat like GlitterRock, he doesnt have that grandpa gone wrong demeaner of The Sorcerer. Nope.. Mark Peter Richman just oozes evil. From his deliberate pacing in his dialogue to his posturing. For me.. This episode was the bread and butter for establishing our heroines as going up against real.. hardcore malicious evil. he did have the usual ditzy sidekick henchman ( I think he would have been more effective alone) he just kinda put off that "dangerous vibe" Although I do admit I still laugh like mad when he moves to grab the pyramind and opens it.. only to utter slightly less than evil .. "oh.. darn!! they forgot to include the instructions!!" when he steals his super weapon Solaris This Show is also in my top three with GlitterRock and Ali-Baba.
