Episode Summary :
Part 1
"In the seedy, run down section of town, a theater, it's stage once graced by the superstars of days long past, stands forgotten and abandoned. No longer is it filled with the sounds of laughter and applause, only with dusty cobwebs and silence. Silence? Is that music or is it merely the echoes of past triumphs."
Actually it is the mesmerizing melody of Glitter Rock, with his sideman Side Man, who can control people's minds with the distinct cords of his guitar. And he is about to unleash his greatest plan for world domination.
"King Alex X of Tounrembourg is welcomed by Lori, his former classmate."
Meanwhile, across town, Lori has just returned from her high school reunion with her friend Alex, who happens to be King Alex X of Tourembourg. While down in the Electrabase, Crimescope springs into action indicating that something is afoot.
Back upstairs, Judy notices Alex's key around his neck. Alex says that it is the Key of Tourembourg and whoever has the key is the ruler of Tourembourg. Just out of Alex's sight, Frank flashes an alert signal to the girls who quickly show Alex his room upstairs and then descend down the secret elevator to Electrabase. Down in Electrabase, fearing for the safety of King Alex, Frank presents the girls with his latest invention, Electravibe, which can destroy large objects or be used for pinpoint accuracy.
Meanwhile upstairs, Side Man disguised as a chauffeur has come to take King Alex to a private rock concert, it seems the king cannot get good rock and roll in Tourembourg. The king accepts and the two are off. Lori and Judy soon return upstairs to discover that Alex has left, the two deduce that Alex is being lead to Glitter Rock. Lori and Judy head back to Electrabase and change into Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. Frank conducts a Crimescope Search Alert which leads the girls to Glitter Rock's lair.
At the theater, Side Man leads Alex to the main auditorium. Alex begins to suspect that something is wrong, but it is too late.
"And so, the evil concert begins. The young king finds the music of the diabolical Glitter Rock spellbinding."
Glitter Rock begins his mesmerizing concert and order Alex to give him the Key of Tourembourg.
"With the king under his trance, Glitter Rock has struck the first blow in his diabolical plan to control the world."
Electra Woman and Dyna Girl arrive at the theater, but it is too late, Glitter Rock heads out a side door with the key. The girls tell the dazed king to stay put and go after Glitter Rock. However, Glitter Rock uses guitar cords to help give him the slip. Glitter Rock leads the girls to a hallway the has an "evil eye" sensor that will spring a trap for the Electra Pair. Just as the girls are about the trip the sensor, Frank warns them in time and they are able to pass underneath without springing the trap. However, King Alex comes down the hall after them and pass through and trips the sensor. Instantly, two walls appear blocking both ends of the hallway, and in turn cut off most of Crimescope's power to Electra Woman and Dyna Girl so that they cannot use their Electravibe to escape.
"It appears that Gliiter Rock has succeeded."
Part 2
Crimescope is busy trying to figure out Glitter Rock's alloy, but it may not be in time. Electra Woman suggests that they have once chance. Use the Electravibe, not on the walls, but focus it on the electric eye sensor on the wall. Since it is connected to all the circuits maybe it will stop the walls if it is destroyed. However, it will take both Electracomps to do the job. Back at Crimescope, Frank does his best to give the girls more power. The girls take aim and are successful in destroying the evil eye and releasing the walls so that they can escape.
Inside Glitter Rock's lair, Side Man tells Glitter Rock of the trios escape, however, he is not worried since he has the Key of Tourembourg. Side Man figures it is because now Glitter Rock is the ruler of Tourembourg since he has the key, but Glitter Rock has other plans. He will use the gem in the stone to power his own space satellite and use it to beam his hypnotic music around the globe.
Back at Crimescope after safely depositing King Alex upstairs in Lori and Judy's house, Electra Woman and Dyna Girl try to discover the location of Glitter Rock. Using a signature of the gem in the key (the only deposit of the crystal in North America, Crimescope is able to trace Glitter Rock back to his lair in the abandoned theater. Electra Woman and Dyna Girl head back to the theater to stop him.
"And so, the villainous duo plans to launch their satellite. Can Electra Woman and Dyna Girl stop them in time?"
Electra Woman and Dyna Girl arrive at the theater, but are quickly ambushed by Glitter Rock's hypnotic music. Meanwhile, King Alex heads back to the theater to try to get the key back. Glitter Rock has the Electra duo climb to the top of the theater to force them to jump off. As they being to fall towards their certain death, King Alex arrives and is able to disable the music freeing Electra Woman and Dyna Girl from the music and allowing them time to safely Electra Degravitate back to the floor.
The trio then head to Glitter Rock's lair and freeze him in a force shield, but not before he launches the satellite. The girls leave King Alex with Dyna Girl's Electra Comp so he can keep an eye on Glitter Rock and Side Man. Meanwhile, they head off in Electra Plane to try and stop the satellite before it reaches orbit. With the aid of Super Electraboost, the girls reach the satellite in time and are able to use Electravibe to destroy the satellite and save the planet.
Afterwards, Glitter Rock and Side Man end up in the state penitentiary and King Alex decides to put in Key of Tourembourg in a museum and calls for the country's first democratic elections.
DynaGirl's Thoughts:
Ok.. whats not to love.. a villain so over the top he comes back around and surpasses even himself! Anyone who has read my "Dark Dynagirl Page" know for see cool "far out vibes" Glitter is the man. he is ambitious.. nothing short of taking over the world with mind control will do for him. When you watch it and see him go against King Alex..its like you almost pull for him to pull it off!. This in my opinion is when the series hits the ground running! This one kiddies,.. is a must in your Ew/DG archive!
