Episode Summary :
Part 1
"Herein lurks the most sinister villain...Ali Baba."
Ali Baba, the master of dirty tricks, and his sinister Genie use a magnetic ray to hijack the private plane of Russian scientist Professor Nabakov en route to a big scientific convention. Coincidentally Lori and Judy are covering the event for Newsmaker magazine when Frank notifies them of the professor's disappearance.
Our heroines soon arrive at Electrabase. Frank informs them that along with the Professor, the new Metamorphosis formula has disappeared, a formula that change people and animals into their exact opposites. Meanwhile, Nabakov meets his captures and refuses to give up the formula.
"Nabakov finds himself an unwilling guest of Ali."
Back at Electrabase, Frank is about to zone in on the Professor's location when Ali Baba contacts the heroines to inform them that he has captured the Professor. Frank uses this transmission to lock in to Ali Baba's lair. Before the girl depart, Frank gives them his latest attachment for their Electra-Comps, the Electra-Freeze, which can freeze any object that it comes in contact with.
Electra Woman and Dyna Girl easily arrive at Ali's cave, too easily for Electra Woman and she cautions Dyna Girl to watch out for a trap. Which is precisely what they walk into as Ali Baba was expecting them. Using his gong he captures the heroines and places them in nets over boiling vats and cuts off the power to their Electracomps.
"It appears are daring pair are trapped for good this time."
Ali Baba uses the girl predicament to blackmail the Professor into giving up the Metamorphosis formula, he gives the girls back their power and hastily makes his exit. Dyna Girl get separated from Electra Woman during the chase and is ambushed by Ali Baba who gives her a dose of the formula. Changing Dyna Girl from super heroine to super villianess.
Electra Woman returns to find the lost Dyna Girl. The now evil Dyna Girl lures Electra Woman into a trap. She is placed in a chamber with the Professor which is rapidly filling with sand, while Dyna Girl, Ali baba and Genie head to Crimescope to take it over and use it to rule the world.
"How will Electra Woman and Nabakov escape the cascading sand? Is Dyna Girl doomed to a life of villainy?"
Part 2
Dyna Girl returns to Electrabase with Ali Baba and the Genie. Frank mistakenly believes that she has captured the pair and is unaware of her recent transformation. Before Frank has a chance to react and turn off her Electra-Comp, Dyna Girl places him in a force shield.
"Ah, but what Dyna Girl failed to notice was Frank pushing the button that field the power to Electra Woman's Electra-Comp."
But not before he restores power to Electra Woman's Electra-Comp, allowing her and Nabakov to escape the chamber of sand and make a hasty retreat back to Electrabase. While at that same moment, Ali Baba and Genie, tries to unlock the secrets of Crimescope.
"Unknown to Ali, Hefflin has programmed a fail-safe system into Crimescope....unfortunately for Ali and Genie he pushes the wrong button and..."
...accidentally sets off the Intruder Alert which frees Frank and traps Ali Baba and Genie in a force shield. Dyna Girl quickly overrides the security measure to free the villains as Frank pleads with Dyna Girl to come to her senses.
Electra Woman and Nabakov arrive and the showdown of showdowns begins as Electra Woman faces off against her former partner in a challenge, which is easily won by the super villianess Dyna Girl. After the victory, the villains kidnap Frank and return to Ali Baba's lair.
"And so the evil trio depart with Hefflin leaving Nabakov and Electra Woman victims of the evil Dyna Girl."
Electra Woman awakes a short time later to the realization that Ali has kidnapped Frank and evil Dyna Girl has placed her Electra-Comp on remote power thereby preventing Electra Woman from shutting in off. Electra Woman leaves Nabakov with Crimescope to try to shut off Dyna Girl's power while she heads to the lair to try to save Dyna Girl and Frank.
"As Dyna Girl begins her life of crime, Electra Woman speeds to foil Ali's plans to take over the world."
The evil trio plan to use the Metamorphosis formula on Frank thereby turning him into a willing servant of evil to aid in their takeover of the world.
"Will Electra Woman get to the hideout in time?"
While Nabakov tries to break through Crimescope, Electra Woman arrives at Ali Baba's lair. She pleads with Dyna Girl to turn back from her evil ways. Dyna Girl answers by placing Electra Woman in a force shield. Frank wishes that he were back at Crimescope to try to fix all this.
"Yes if only Frank were here but the Professor is trying... and its beginning to look like...."
Nabakov finally succeeds in breaking Dyna Girl's power flow from Crimescope thereby freeing Electra Woman from the force shield. Ali makes one last attempt at defeating Electra Woman by using his gong to produce a sonic vibe that disorients and immobilizes Electra Woman. Nabakov is able to counteract the gongs effect and uses her Electra-beam to knock the formula out of Ali hands and into Franks. He uses the formula again on Dyna Girl thereby changing her back to super heroine. Electra Woman then uses the Electra freeze to freeze Ali's gong. When he goes to strike it, the gong shatters into pieces.
Later, back at Electrabase, Lori and Judy review the cover story of Newsmaker Magazine that features Dyna Girl's brief life of crime. Frank tells the girls that Nabakov has destroyed the Metamorphosis formula because it was too dangerous. Lori remarks that she wishes they could have saved a small part of the formula in order to let Frank smile every once in a while.
DynaGirl's Thoughts:
This episode battles for number one spot in my heart. "The Metamorphisis spary inverts someone's person to be the total opposite of what they were" So the exposition goes.. If you think about it..thats a lot of evil in dyna there in that case. It's the first time we see ElectraWoman and DynaGirl mix it up as the youthful sidekick once converted to evil. Judy Strangis was really great at the over the top in that "glitterrock" way. (the psuedo goth make-up didnt hurt either) You have to wonder if Ali-Baba thought it through making Dyna evil. After she became evil she was pretty much running the show even pushing Ali and Genie aside to fight her mentor. Sid Haig was one of the more memorable villains with his dead on charicter look with its exaggerated make-up. (Sid is way underatted as an actor I think.. I look back now and he's in all my old faves.. Jason of Star command. etc.) But I digress, This show is definately in my top 3.. very recommeneded.
