Welcome to Brain Mapping 101.
Here the step by step procedure of 'hooking up' a subject for a brain map explained.
Clockwise from the top: impedance meter, 19 electrode cap, electrode gel, ear clip electrodes, and Omni Prep.
Measuring for the correct cap size.
Exfoliate those ear lobes.
Place the EOG electrodes to catch unwanted eye blinks and jaw tension.
Put on those pesky ear clips.
And now the other side.
Chest strap to hold the cap on snug.
Align the cap to the front of the head and . . .
. . . pull it down tight.
Attach the cap straps to the chest strap.
Using a syringe with a blunt needle inject the electrode gel into the electrode cap cups.
Us a swizzle stick to make sure there is good contact with the skin.
Connect all the electrodes to the amplifiers and away we go.
After completing the map we have to clean up.
Including the subject.
