One or Two Professors' Opinions

My very preliminary opinion about course home pages (in statistics?):

What Bill Parr and I concluded:

"...the web also can have benefits as an aid to classroom instruction. In this context and at this stage of development the web is primarily useful because it can be used to keep material current and ready for printing and widely accessible. It is also useful for distributing data sets. "

Someday we hope there will be:

"Course home pages everywhere linked to each other and organized for easy cross reference. This vision will take a while to happen, but it will happen if we begin to gain experience doing course homepages with the more limited goals.
